The Port Authority of Cadiz Bay is governed by the law of "Puertos del Estado and Marina Mercante (number 27/1992 of 24/11/1992)", partially modified by the 62/1997 of 26/12/1992 one.

According to the definition contained in that law, Port Authorities are Public Law Entities, of legal entity and own resources, independent to those of the State, and with full capacity to carry out duties.

The Port Authority of Cadiz Bay manages the general interests ports of Cadiz Bay.

The organs which control the functioning of the Port Authority of Cadiz Bay are:
  • Organs of government: Board of Directors and Chairman.
  • Organ of management: Manager.
  • Organ of assistance: Navigation and Port Board.
